MeetMe is an online social networking website. It was formally named MyYearbook. The company was founded in 2005 by three siblings, Geoff Cook, David Cook, and Catherine Cook. The company is now rebranded as The Meet Group. The headquarters are located in New Hope, PA. There are also offices in Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dresden, and Berlin. The Meet Group is a publicly traded brand. The company owns other subsidiaries, including websites Lovoo, Skout, Tagged, and hi5.
You can easily create an account on MeetMe. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. You can create an account by entering your email address, desired password, name, and location. Or, if you would prefer, you can sign up with your Facebook profile. Nothing will be posted on your profile, your account will just be used to gather the personal account information that is on your Facebook account. Once you have created an account, you can edit your profile with information about yourself. You can add photos of yourself as well. Other members will be able to see your profile, add you as a friend, and send messages to you. You are also able to stream live videos, send gifts, and share photos between other members.
Basic membership is free. You can purchase credits to unlock various features. There are also premium memberships available. With the premium membership, you can browse profiles and pictures in stealth mode (anonymously) and discover users who have been asking you questions by unmasking the questions. The mobile app is available for iPhone, Android, and Windows-based phones.
